What IS Your Brand?
There is a lot of energy and talk about personal branding.
And rightfully so, especially when it comes to not only finding the right dental position, but keeping that chosen position. It helps you thrive in and out of the op. But what does having a personal and professional brand look like? Personal branding is the conscious and intentional effort to create and influence public perception of an individual by positioning them as an authority in their industry, elevating their credibility, and differentiating themselves from the competition, to ultimately advance their career, increase their circle of influence, and have a larger impact.[1]

It's quite simply put, who you are and what you stand for, both personally and professionally. Does that look like doing your oral cancer screening, tactile and visual on ALL of your patients, probing each visit and treatment planning what you are doing for periodontal recommendations? Did you address what is important to your patient? Or does that look like talking about your vacation for the 45 minute appointment and not addressing bleeding pockets and broken teeth? Did you connect what is valuable to your patient with your treatment recommendations or say "see ya in 6"?
It is best to brand yourself before other do. Identify what you are good at and passionate about. What DO you want to be known for? Get in touch and I can help you find that out.
